MWC 2024: Honor CEO confirms smart ring development
Just one day after Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Ring to the public, the CEO of Honor revealed that the company is developing its own smart ring.
Honor, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has now revealed that it is also developing a smart ring named Honor Ring, only one day after Samsung introduced its Galaxy Ring at the Mobile World Congress 2024.
"Internally, we have this kind of solution, now we are working on that part, so you can have the Honor ring in the future," Honor CEO George Zhao stated in a conversation with CNBC. The Honor Ring will be a fitness-related gadget with a focus on health, similar to the Galaxy Ring. Fitness bands and smartwatches are already produced by Honor, and the next Honor Ring is probably going to be sold as part of an ecosystem.

In addition, Honor manufactures tablets and laptops, among other electronic gadgets, and its product line is extensive. But the majority of these goods are only available in particular marketplaces. Honor just returned to India and has since released two phones.
Following US penalties against Huawei in 2020, Honor and the company parted ways. Since then, the business has been promoting cutting-edge consumer electronics products, such as foldable smartphones. It is also credited with introducing the Honor Magic V2, the thinnest foldable device in existence.
The Honor Magic 6 Pro, which is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and has features like eye-tracking and on-device generative AI capabilities, is one of the new devices the company unveiled at MWC 2024. Additionally, the business unveiled the Honor Magic V2 RSR, a limited-edition foldable created in association with Porsche Design.
